Alles stroomt en niets is blijvend
Na enkele cursussen in beeldhouwen heb ik mijzelf verder ontwikkeld in het schilderen en ook in andere disciplines. Sinds 2010 ben ik actief als professioneel kunstenaar. Ik hou ervan om te experimenteren met verschillende natuurlijke materialen, om vrij te kunnen werken zonder vastomlijnd plan.
De kwetsbaarheid van het leven die tot uitdrukking komt in de veelal dierlijke figuren die ik maak moeten een pakkende emotie uitstralen. Mijn beelden zijn regelmatig te bewonderen op de verschillende kunstbeurzen en de op deze site vermelde galeries.
De vergankelijkheid van alles wat leeft heeft mij altijd bijzonder gefascineerd. De wereld van morgen lijkt in niets op die van gisteren, alles is in beweging en verandert voortdurend. Of je nu mens bent of dier, blad of tak, kortom alles wat een leven heeft, dat alles is onderhevig aan de vergankelijkheid. De zuurstof die ons en de dingen om ons heen laat groeien, bloeien en tot leven laat komen, samen met het daarbij benodigde water, dat alles is uiteindelijk ook weer de oorzaak van onze uiteindelijke verdwijning!
De vergankelijkheid die het einde brengt van elk leven, maar daarmee ook het begin vormt voor het nieuwe. Het is een oneindig proces, een proces dat door ons mensen hooguit versneld of vertraagd kan worden, maar nooit gestopt. Een boeiend thema dat zich aandient in alle geledingen van ons bestaan.
Dit thema manifesteert zich in mijn beelden door de kwetsbaarheid die ze uitstralen. De keuze van bijzondere materialen en natuurlijke kleuren vormen het fundament voor een openheid en lichtheid waarmee ik mijn beelden laat spreken, de kwetsbaarheid van al wat leeft wordt hiermee krachtig uitgedragen.

Everything flows and nothing lasts
After a few sculpturing courses, I further developed my painting skills as well as other disciplines. I have been a passionate professional artist since 2010. I enjoy experimenting with different natural materials, which allows me to work freely without restrictions.
The vulnerability of life that is often expressed by most of the animal sculptures that I create, evoke a captured emotion. My artwork can be admired regularly at the various art fairs and the art galleries mentioned on this site.
The transience of all living matter has always fascinated me. Tomorrow’s world is nothing like yesterday’s, everything is in motion and constantly changing. Whether you are human or an animal, a leaf, or a branch, in short, everything that has life, is subject to transience. The oxygen that makes us and the things around us grow, bloom, and come to life, along with the water needed for it, all of that is ultimately the cause of our eventual disappearance! The transience that brings an end to every life, but also forms the beginning of a new one. It is an endless cycle, a process that can only be accelerated or slowed down by us humans, but never stopped. An interesting theme that presents itself in all areas of our existence.
This theme manifests itself in my sculptures through the vulnerability that is radiated. The choice of special materials and natural colours form the foundation for an openness and lightness through which I let my sculptures speak, the vulnerability of all that lives is powerfully conveyed.
